Every year Castle View School creates a large campaign to raise awareness and open up healthy conversations about emotional well-being. This year’s theme is “Let’s Talk.” Rather than just raising the profile of world mental health day, the students and staff have been busy learning and talking all week in their tutor time activities and assemblies.
As part of the well-being initiative, teachers were delivered cakes on National Teacher Day and were also serenaded in their staff briefing as they are ‘Simply the Best’.
Students have been proudly wearing stickers to support the semi-colon project, watching inspirational videos and learning skills and strategies to support in having a healthy mind.
Former student Alfie Swaby joined them for the day to speak to students about his video was released on youtube telling his story and how he overcame his struggles with losing a parent and ways in which he is thriving now.
Castle View School is dedicated to healthy minds and aims to be the leading school in the borough to achieve the Well-being for Schools Award in December!
