I have over 20 years of experience in the food industry, much of which has been in senior management roles responsible for quality management and regulatory compliance.
Although I am not from an educational background, I understand the importance of education and how it is the key to future success.
I believe that my professional and personal background provide transferable skills and values, which will help Zenith Trust ensure that the education of every child continues to be a gateway to developing potential.

I retired following a 20 year career in Financial Management in London, 10 years as Director of an Education Business Partnership, and nearly 10 years as Director of Volunteering in the Charity sector. I was first elected a Parent Governor at my son's primary school in the 1990s, and was elected Parent Governor at The King John School shortly afterwards serving as both Vice Chair and Chair. I am a Director and Trustee of Benfleet Methodist Church, and Safeguarding Officer for 17 Methodist churches in the local area. I am also Secretary of The London Gilbert and Sullivan Society and Treasurer for Allegro, who regularly perform concerts to raise funds for charities and community groups.

I held a senior commercial role for a multi-national food company and on retirement I wanted to give something back to the community.
I was a Governor at The James Hornsby School for 10 years and 6 of those as Chair.
When I stepped down from the local Governing Body, I welcomed the opportunity to become a 'member' of the Zenith Multi Academy Trust and be part of its progress ensuring every child in every school has an equal opportunity.
